Democracy & Diversity Forums

Virginia State Capitol

As Virginia and the nation celebrate JamestownВ’s 400th anniversary, it is fitting that we use the occasion to reflect on how Virginia and American society is currently addressing the issue of democracy and racial diversity, in the political arena and the business arena.

The L. Douglas Wilder School of Government at Virginia Commonwealth University, named in honor of a Virginian who is the nationВ’s first (and, to this day, only) elected African-American governor, will partner with other Virginia universities, including Virginia State and Virginia Union, to host two forums on Democracy and Diversity, with a special emphasis on leadership issues.

More information will be posted here in Spring 2006.
